🔥Core Programs
Building the bridge survivors have long needed.
Kindling Light was founded in March 2025 to create a new model for responding to domestic violence—one that’s trauma-informed, survivor-led, and grounded in real accountability. Our programs are designed to connect what’s missing in traditional systems and walk with survivors every step of the way.

01 💜
Survivor-Centered Support
We offer long-term case management and advocacy for survivors who are navigating the complex realities of abuse, court systems, housing instability, and emotional recovery.
What this includes:
-
Emotional safety planning
-
Court accompaniment and system navigation
-
Referrals to trauma-informed services, with follow-up support
-
Ongoing care from a consistent advocate—not just a crisis response
02📚
Community Education & Training
We provide training, workshops, and awareness campaigns for schools, providers, families, and allies. Topics include:
-
Recognizing red flags and coercive control
-
Supporting survivors in safe, informed ways
-
Understanding trauma and abuse dynamics
-
Promoting healthy relationships and consent culture

03⚖️
DV Court Pilot Program
We are working with community partners and court stakeholders to design a pilot Domestic Violence Court model in West Virginia. This program aims to improve system coordination, ensure victim safety, and hold offenders accountable in ways that reduce repeat harm.
04🗣️
Survivor Advocacy Council (SAC)
Our Survivor Advocacy Council ensures lived experience is at the center of everything we do. Council members help shape programs, identify system gaps, and elevate survivor voices in advocacy, education, and policy work.
